ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality for Management Systems (QMS). ISO 9001 standards provide a framework and set of regulations & principles that ensure a judgemental approach to the management of our organization to consistently satisfy our customers and other stakeholders. ISO 9001:2015 is the latest version update of the standard it gives more compatible with other management systems, such as ISO 14001, to make it more productive and efficient to integrate management systems. It does not matter what size our organization is whether 1 person or many people.
It does not matter what industry we are in service or manufacturing. It can be a restaurant, consultancy or government entity, etc. It is not a standard for products or personal standards. It does not define product quality. This is a process-based standard. We can use the standard for controlling our processes, then our end product meets the desired results. A person cannot get certified to ISO 9001, instead, the organization or company becomes certified. Individuals can become an ISO 9001 certified Auditor (Internal or External) after a period of training course.
